Welcome to the Officers' Spouses Club
at Sheppard Air Force Base

The Sheppard Officers' Spouses Club is a private, non-profit organization whose mission is to sponsor a wide variety of educational, charitable and social activities.

We also have many special activities for the varying interests of our membership including book club, lunch bunch and bunko.

From the President

We are now halfway through our board year and what a great time it’s been! We’ve played bingo, bunco, made holiday wreaths, tasted a bit of home cooking from our NATO ladies and received some wonderful gifts at our holiday luncheon. We’ve assembled for lunch bunch, bunco, mah jong, golf and book club. Our upcoming monthly socials still hold a great deal of fun to come, so come on out!

Along with our fun has come some very hard work. Time and time again, I am in awe of the spouses of Sheppard AFB. Your volunteer efforts are amazing to me! I feel so fortunate to have wonderful members to serve and awesome board members to work with.

You’ve organized Halloween candy collection for children of deployed members, and helped bake 1,100 dozen cookies to distribute to thousands of our single airmen who were not able to go home for the Christmas holiday. You’ve donated items monthly to local organizations in need through our social programs.

More hard work came through executing our two largest operations that allow us to give back to our community; Hangar Holiday and the Thrift Shop. Hangar Holiday was a huge success, a direct result of the many supportive volunteers who dedicated themselves to the event.

The Thrift Shop continues to thrive, again, because of the efforts of each and every one of our selfless volunteers, including our Enlisted Spouses’ Club (ESC) sisters. I believe each of our members want to leave our community better than we found it, and that call to service is our reminder to give what we can to those who need it more than us.

Our scholarship and charitable giving programs do exactly that. Annually, we contribute to many local and national charitable organizations aiding many who are less fortunate. Our scholarships are awarded to local military spouses and dependents whose life has been impacted by the noble and patriotic service of their spouse or parent. Service that in my opinion is the highest regard once can bestow on their neighbor. I feel we owe so much more to those brave men and women who allow us to live in a safe, peaceful and democratic country.  Thank you to all of you who truly make our world a better place to live!!!
