Each year, The Sheppard Officers’ Spouses’ Club awards thousands of dollars in college scholarships.
This year, $22,500 was presented to nine recipients.
Award Criteria
The judging criteria for the high school awards is based on grade point average, community service and extra curricular activities and an essay. For the spouse awards, the criteria is based on grade point average, community service activities and an essay.
Scholarship Eligiblity

The Sheppard Officers' Spouses' Club awards nine college scholarships totaling $22,500 at a luncheon reception May 6, 2010 at the Sheppard Club. Winners were judged based on academics, community service, extra-curricular activities, leadership and communication skills exemplified in a short essay. The scholarships were funded through monies raised at the SOSC Hangar Holiday bazaar and through various other fundraising efforts. The Sheppard Officers' Spouses' Club awards scholarships each year to outstanding high school students and spouses who are military dependents.
